Solutions for crusher wear

Wear is the gradual destruction of material surface, at the same time, the separation of material particles, the transfer of particles to adjacent parts, the change of mechanical properties and geometry of material layer near the surface. The crusher will wear more or less in the use process. In order to avoid the negative impact on the crusher, it is necessary to find a solution in advance.

 

Crusher wear types: mainly divided into natural wear, premature wear, mechanical wear, thermal wear, corrosion wear five categories.


Natural wear: usually refers to the size change of the parts formed in the long-term operation of the crusher. The change of the part geometry caused by the wear of the crusher will increase the gap between the directly adjacent parts.


Premature wear: at this time, the crusher and its individual parts are temporarily damaged, which is caused by the following factors: the crusher is defective, the quality of parts and materials is poor (cracks, sand holes, etc.), the manufacturing of parts is poor, the technical operation procedures of the crusher are violated, the installation of parts is not correct, and the repair is not timely, etc.


Mechanical wear: mechanical wear is caused by metal friction and fatigue. Friction can be divided into two main types: sliding friction and rolling friction. If sliding and rolling occur at the same time, this kind of friction is called compound friction. Compound friction occurs between the teeth of a gear.


Thermal wear: thermal wear is also caused by the heating of the friction surface. At the same time of thermal wear, the structure and properties of the surface change. The resistance of materials to thermal wear is related to the heat resistance of friction parts.


Corrosion wear: the corrosion wear of metal is the result of the chemical and electrochemical action of the medium on the metal. When the metal surface is damaged due to corrosion, there are scars and rust corrosion contact products. Corrosion can be total (uniform) or localized (concentrated).


Crusher Wear


The correct use method of crusher is also to pave the way for maintenance to avoid more abrasion of crusher. The operation method is as follows:


1. The crusher can start feeding only after it operates normally.

2. The crushed materials shall be evenly added into the crushing chamber, and side feeding or stacking charging shall be avoided to prevent unilateral overload or bear overload.

3. Under normal conditions, the temperature rise of the bearing shall not exceed 35 ℃, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 70 ℃. If it exceeds 70 ℃, the machine shall be shut down immediately, and the cause shall be found out and eliminated.

4. Before the shutdown, the feeding work shall be stopped first, and the motor can be shut down only after the crushed materials in the crushing chamber are completely discharged.

5. When crushing, if the material in the crushing chamber is blocked, the motor shall be shut down immediately, and the material must be removed before starting.

6. After one end of the toothed plate is worn, it can be used in a reversed way.
