The oscillating granulator is a classic granulation device that is widely used in specific fields today, especially common in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) processing, food production, and primary pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The oscillating granulator uses mechanical transmission to drive a rotor in reciprocating oscillating (swinging) motion (forward and reverse), squeezing wet powdery or soft materials through a screen sieve to make uniform granules. It is a representative device of the traditional wet granulation process.

Working Process

  1. Materials are put into the hopper. Driven by the forward and reverse rotational motion of the rotor, compressive and shearing forces are applied to the materials.

  2. The materials are forced through the screen sieve, forming cylindrical wet granules, or breaking the dry blocks into small particles.

  3. The size of the output granules can be controlled by replacing screen sieves with different apertures and mesh counts. Screen sieves can be made of stainless steel wire mesh, perforated plate or nylon. The specific mesh count should be determined based on individual production needs.

  4. The output granules are wet, it needs to be dried.

    The screen sieve and rotor are easy to disassemble, which is friendly to clean and replace them.

  5. Convenient Disassembly
     Key working components (such as the screen sieve and rotor) are typically fixed with simple buckles or bolts, allowing for very quick and easy disassembly.

  6. No Complex Dead Zones
      Its structure is relatively open, there is no complex high-speed rotating parts or hard-to-reach corners. During cleaning, the entire interior is visible, eliminating hidden areas that are difficult to clean.

  7. Suitable for Multi-Variety,  Small-Batch Production
      The above  features make it highly advantageous in scenarios requiring frequent material changeovers (such as laboratory R&D, small and medium-sized pharmaceutical factories, and food factories). It can adapt to a wide range of industries.
